Gina is pictured relaxing on a bench in the garden, proving she is really into the swing of things here and has definitely caught the local bug of "doing it tomorrow (or maybe the next day!)". She decided after the birth of her pups in 2002 that she much prefers staying at home to going to shows but follows her childrens progress with her normal (OTT) amount of enthusiasm. She was so very proud of Harry when he was awarded his Show Certificate of
Merit (ShCM) in June 2006 and was prouder still of Becky for gaining the same
award in December 2007. Gina was quite put out on Ruby's arrival but has now decided that perhaps Ruby's not quite that bad and has even been spotted playing "chase" in the garden when Ruby gets hold of Gina's favourite yellow ball. The further arrival of Holly has been taken a lot easier by Gina and, although not quite yet "best friends" they are getting on together really well. Gina's response has been more positive with Ellie as she had got used to a Holly being about but Gina still puts Ellie in her place when she deserves it.Basically all four girls get on very well with very few cross words. It's just four weeks since Gina's pyometra and she is feeling so much better, more her crabby old self, bless her. Progress at first was slow, after all it was a major op, but she has been improving all the time and is now probably feeling better than she has for some time, judging by the way she's acting. It's nice to have the "old" Gina back! Following Gina's 12th birthday we took some pictures of her to celebrate, go to her gallery to see one of them. |
